PASE: What is it?

Our Allocation Analyst role starts with a comprehensive training program called PASE (Planning & Allocation School of Excellence). The PASE program is a combination of in-class training practical exercises, store and distribution center visits, shadowing analysts on the job, and hands-on learning.

Production Support Allocator
Meghan is one of our Production Support Allocators. She’s responsible for the timely allocation of merchandise within the context of the weekly shipping strategy. This is her first position with us and she’s fit right in—from day one. On the weekends, you’ll find Meghan spending time with her three-legged toy poodle pup named Cashew. She adopted him from the Humane Society. Isn’t that sweet? No matter the season, Meghan loves to stay active. In the summer you can find her playing soccer in a recreational league, running, or doing yoga. In the winter the cold won’t stop her! Meghan embraces the weather by hitting the slopes on her snowboard.
Allocation Analyst
Joseph is one of our Allocation Analysts. He joined us as a new graduate and participated in the PASE program – the Planning & Allocation School of Excellent! He has always had a passion for fashion and a natural curiosity for understanding why products sell. Now he is responsible for analyzing store sales, inventory levels and product performance in order to create the best possible mix in every store every day, which makes him a true entrepreneur in his business. Joseph has learned that collaboration is key. He works closely with his immediate cross-functional teams including planning and buying and participates in initiatives within his department to drive his business. He analyzes the results to make effect strategies for the future. Working as a Buyer for our home division is a dream job for Joseph; however, this role has opened his eyes to many other departments!
Senior Allocation Analyst
Matthew is one of our Senior Allocation Analysts. He’s responsible for ensuring our stores’ inventory properly represents the buyer’s vision. He monitors orders, creates shipping strategies, and performs analysis on merchandise. He also partners with many different areas in the company. Matthew started with us as a Store Associate after which he moved into the Production Support Allocator role where he learned about our business from a whole new perspective. Because of Matthew’s previous experience, he is a great role model within the Analyst team and supports Allocation Analyst’s development by providing on-going guidance regarding allocation decisions, problem-solving and other daily tasks. When he isn’t coaching his fellow analysts you can find Matthew coaching and playing competitive baseball!

Brooke is one of our Associate Planners. She works closely with the Merchant team to create the optimal assortment at our stores. She also participates in strategies that showcase the latest fashion trends and amazing brands. She started with us as a Merchandise Assistant Co-op. In that role, Brooke learned that effective multi-tasking is essential in the retail landscape. She also understands that in order to drive her business she must take calculated risks. She encourages her team to think outside the box and works in partnership with counterparts to identify opportunities. When Brooke isn’t driving her sales, you can find her on the courts! She loves to play sports and remain active in her community!
Planning Manager
Kevin is one of our Planning Managers. He started with us as a Production Support Allocator. We love his drive for personal and professional growth as he maximizes every opportunity to learn and grow with us, whether on the job or taking a course in one of our development courses (wish you had better excel skill? We have a class for that!). He continually solicits feedback from his peers and supervisors and has taken ownership of his development from the beginning. Kevin is also a great coach as evidenced by the talent on his team. Together, they manage profitable sales and inventory levels. He pays attention to trends and leverages sales data to identify opportunities, make recommendations, and provide input into what can drive the business. Essentially, he’s responsible for translating the effects of the economy, demographics, and product information to get the right product mix to the right store at the right time. Of course, he hasn’t just moved up in our Company fast. He’s also completed the CN Tower climb in 16 minutes. (That’s 144 flights!)

Heather is one of our Buyers. She is responsible for purchasing products for our stores coast to coast. She spends time both domestically and abroad to source products and negotiate great deals. Heather started with us as a Merchandise Assistant before advancing to an Allocation Analyst role. As a Merchandise Assistant, Heather was able to build on her passion for product and developed a stronger understanding of our flexible business model. She worked hard to develop strong relationships with her buyers, vendors and other stakeholders. Throughout her time with us, Heather has grown through our planning department and because of this, she brings a unique perspective into her role as a buyer and is comfortable balancing the facts with instincts.
